[Ielts task 1] Process

[Task requirement] The diagram below shows the process of using water to produce electricity

The chart illustrates how to use water to generating electricity. It is clear that there are three main stages in the process of producing electricity, beginning with the evaporation of sea water and ending with the supply of electricity to customers.

In the first stage, the heat from the sun makes sea water evaporate and condense into clouds before it falls into the reservoir as raindrops. In the following step, the valve is opened for the water in the reservoir to flow through a pipe running from the dam. When an enough amount of water is collected, the valve is closed and the water continues to run to the turbine, at which the turbine spins and creates energy. Another amount of water, if excessive, runs through the pipe to a pump, which pours the water into the reservoir.

The next step is that the energy is transferred through high voltage cables to the transformation station. Then, the generated electricity is provided with the hospitals/schools through underground cables.
