Overall, the weather is hot in this city, with the temperature being always higher than 20-degree celsius the whole year. It is clear that autumn is the rainy season when the amount of rainfall is higher than 250 mm from July to September.
In the first months of the year, Kolkata is cool with average heat being under 25 degrees. Then it becomes hotter gradually to reach the highest temperature in May, at approximately 32 degrees. The heat constantly goes down to just above 20 degrees in December.
This location has a six- month rainy season from May to October and the rest is arid period including the winter and the spring. The yearly precipitation is around 1600 millimeters, and the rainy time contributes about 90 percent of it. In the dry season, the average rainfall does not exceed 100 millimeters.
