The line graph shows information about the consumption of energy ( Petrol and oil, Coal, Natural Gas, Nuclear, Solar/Wind, Hydropower) in the US since 1980 with projections until 2030 according to a 2008 report. The units of measurement are quadrillion of units.

Overall, more fossil fuels are used in comparison with renewable resources. The highest value in the data set is the amounts consumed of petrol and oil in the period shown, that of hydropower is the lowest.

The amounts used for petrol and oil followed a similar trend, the former started at exactly 35 in 1980 and will rise about 15-fold in 2030, at nearly 50, while the later stood at slightly over 15, then will increase by about 50%, at roughly 30 in the remainder of the period, surpassing natural gas’s consumption.

There was a negative correlation between natural gas and hydropower’s consumption. That of natural gas started at over 15 in 1980 and had a climb over 60%, at 25 in 2015, from this point until 2030, whereas that of Hydropower stand at 3, and remained narrow range until 2015, follow by a plateau from this time onwards. Meanwhile, the consumption of nuclear and solar or wind started at 3, before mildly increase in 2030, at about 7 and 5.

So it is one number at a particular point on the graph.) in the data set is the amount consumed of petrol and oil in 2030, at 50 ~~the period shown~~, (comma splice error!) and that of hydropower in 1980 is the lowest, at about 4.
