The charts illustrate the amounts of electricity produced by some fuel sources in particular countries, namely, Australia and France in 1980 and 2000


Overall the sources to produced electricity in France was more diverse than that in Australia in a different year. Total production of both countries was increased in a 20-year period.


Australia did not use any nuclear power at all to made electricity. There were dramatically increase in electricity production using coal sources from 50 in 1980 to nearly threefold of that ( 130 units ) in 2000. The products made by hydro power also went up about 16 units after 20 years. However, the period between 1980 and 2000 witnessed a crash of electricity production by ten times and five times respectively in natural gas and oil source in Australia.


In 1898, coal and natural gas sources were the two most popular with 25 units produced by each sources, followed by was oil with 20 units. The data shows that the products produced by nuclear power increased rapidly from 15 in 1980 to 126 in 2000, had the most important position among these fuel sources. There was a sharply drop of 23 units in natural gas and also a slight reduction of 3 units in hydro power. Production using coal remained the same between 1980 and 2000, while that using oil raised by 5 units.


In conclusion, while Australia favored coal source to create electricity and did not use nuclear power, France changed its preference from coal and natural gas to nuclear power.
