Task 1 - Map - #02
The plans below show a student room for two people and a student room for one person at an Australian university.
Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features and make comparisons where relevant. The two maps compare two layouts of student rooms at an Australian university, a twin room and a single room.
Overall, there are stark disparities associated with the size and the fees between the two types of rooms. It is also apparent that students in the double-bedroom have access to more amenities.
In detail, both rooms share some basic furniture in common, a study desk against the northern wall and a bed below the window on the east side. In addition, the toilets for both rooms are located in the north-west corner. Albeit a sink, a stove, and a microwave are placed in alignment in the south-east area, they front two different directions. The extra facilities rendered for the double-double room include a bookshelf adjacent to the bathroom, a bed and a study desk alongside the southern wall, and a table and chairs next to the cupboards.
While each room has a length of six meters, the single-bedroom has a width of two meters and a half rather than four of the twin room. Proportional to size, the former ($200 weekly) is slightly cheaper than the latter ($350 for two persons per week).
