Tourists to England who visited four different attractions in Brighton

This is my answer for the IELTS task 1. Please give some comments to help me improve my writing skills. Thank you in advance!

The graph compares the proportion of people who went to 4 different tourist destinations in Brighton, England over a 30-year period, between 1980 and 2010.

Overall, there were downward trends in the figure for the art gallery and the festival among all given places. However, the pier and the pavilion saw fluctuating increases in the percentage of tourists from 1980 to 2010.

It can be seen from the graph that in 1980 – 1985, the percentage of people who came to the art gallery rose sharply from just over 21% to almost 38 %, and then declined dramatically to 20%. However, there was a slight growth in this attraction’s figure till 1995, before it fell steadily throughout the remainder 15 years. The most popular Brighton attraction in 1980 for visitors to England was the festival with 30% of these attended, but it tended to reduce slowly over 30 years.

By contrast, the pavilion witnessed a significant rise in the proportion of tourists during the first half period. After that, the figure fell continually to over 30% and became the most attractive places in 2010. Turning to the Brighton pier, its figure fluctuated successively around 10% before climbing up to 22% in 2010.
