In contrast, these two cities have more people travelling underground railway every year than London and others. In Tokyo, the number of passengers was 1927 million each year, accounting for nearly one second of a total of six cities.
Conversely, Kyoto and Los Angeles are the latest cities opening the underground rail systems and only amount around one per cent of passengers per year. Whereas, the ones in Washington DC were built earlier and has roughly three times as many as the number of people travelling underground railway in the two above.
