Ielts Task 1. Criminal Conviction

The two figures below show the rate of criminal convictions among men and women of different ages in the UK and the proportion of male and female prison inmates in the British prison system.
Summarize the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.

The provided pie chart reveals data about the rate of people involved in crimes in both genders, while the second focuses on the ages and proportions of all convictions of the prison population.

When looking at the pie chart, it is evident that more men are likely to convict crimes than women, the figure of them takes the lion share of the chart with 96, 4 percent higher than that of females. As for the line graph, at the age of ten, a mere 2 percent of boys carrying out criminals, whereas, there were 0 of women in the same age. At 20, both figures are on an increase, in details, the percent of female criminal rises to about 5, likewise, that of men soars exponentially to 16.

Nevertheless, from 20 to 45 years old, the percentages of both lines decreases to some extent. Specifically, men’s percent declines by half, while, the figure for females brings down by approximately 2,5. During the subsequent 15-year period, the percentage of male convictions plummet sharply to 2, however, there is no female criminal.

Overall, both figures peak at the age of adolescents, it is clear that the older the people get, the fewer the criminals exist.
