IELTS TASK 1

The bar chart below give information about five countries spending habits of shopping on consumer goods in 2012. Summarize the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisions where relevant.

The bar chart illustrates the figure of consumers using different kind of goods in Belguim, Spain, Australia and Britain within 2012.

Overall, it is clear that there were significant differences between the number of goods was bought by consumers in all five countries. The expenditure of the UK was higher than that in the other three countries, while the Belguim the least amount of money was spent on totall 5 consumer goods.

In term of cameras, people in Britain spent about 170$ on this as opposed to the Belguim at 145$, while this figure of Britist was followed by the Spain and Austria. Similarly, the British expenditure was higher on books than the Austria, the Spain and the Belguim in order with 162$, 154$ and 144$ respectively. In Spain, expenditure on toys was as same as that of Austria, which was approximately 157$.

On the other hand, the amount of money paid out on the remaining goods was the highest in Britain and was the lowest in Autria. Above 150$ was spent by the Spainish on console game which was slightly more than the Belgian who spent about 147$. Neither of the countries including Spain and Belguim spent much on outdoor games accessories which accounted for 154$ in Spain but under 150$ in the Belguim.
