The table compares data on socio-economic indicators for four countries( Canada, Japan, Peru and Zaire) in 1994.

Overall, the figures for four indicators for Canada and Japan were higher than those for Peru and Zaire. The figure for each indicator in Zaire was the lowest among four contries.

At 15760 USD, Japan had the highest annual income per person, ahead of Canada with 11100 USD. There was a dramatic gap then to Peru(160 USD) and Zarie( 130 USD). In terms of daily calorie supply, Canada headed the table at 3236, followed by Japan, at 2846 and Peru, at 1927. It was only 1749 in Zaire.

There was a similarity in the life expectancy between Canada(76) and Japan(78). The figures were lower for Peru and Zaire, at 51 and 47 respectively. Almost 100% of people in Canada and Japan were literate. The figure decreased to 68% in Peru, exactly double Zarrie.
