Ielts task 1

I am preparing for my Ielts exam next month. Can you help me to review my essay ? Thank you so much.

The given line graph illustrates the percentage of population that is older than 65 years old in Japan, Swenden and the US between 1940 and 2040.

As can be seen from the graph, all countries see an overall upward trend in the proportion of the population aged 65 and above.

In the USA, the percentage of senior population experienced a steady rise from 8% to 15% from 1940 to 1980 . In the next 40 years, the figure levels off around 15%. Untilmately, a sudden surge from 15% to 23% is to be expected between 2020 and 2040.

Swenden also experience the same growth in the period of 1940 and 1980. However, from 1980 to 2040, the figure fluctuates wildly and end at 25% by 2040.

Unlike the two mentioned countries, Japan's senior population percentage levels off around 5% from 1940 to 2000 then suddenly soars to 28% in 2040.
