IELTS TASK 1

The two pie charts compare the percentage of household consumptions between Japan and Malaysia according to Major Category in 2010.

Obviously, we can see that both Malaysian and Japanese spend lowest money on health care service.

To begin with the greatest single expense in Malaysia was housing with 34%, compared with 21% in Japan. On the other hand, food came in second place in both Malaysia and Japan, accounted for just 27% and 24%, respectively. In Japan another major expense was transport, at 20% and this was double percentage as in Malaysia. Moreover, in Japan housing accounted for 21% of the total, about three times more than the health care service in here. It seems that other services are most popular in Japan, while in Malaysia, other goods and services are only 26%, less than 3%.
