In today's world, it is a necessity for adults to be pleased with their jobs since they spend a great amount of their life at their jobs. Being satisfied with a job actually contributes to one's well-being. In this regard, there are measures to be taken which would lead to job satisfaction.
To begin with, the most important factor in job satisfaction seems to be salary. Actually, there is a direct link between the amount income and job fulfillment. Those who have a high salary have a higher standard of living and are probably able to afford for all of the necessities for their family. Moreover, a good salary would compensate for the difficulties of a job. It also enables an employee to retire sooner, for they can make more money in a shorter period of time compared to those who have a low-paid job. Therefore, a high salary could guarantee job satisfaction for a worker.
In addition, the quality of the workplace and its distance from the worker's house play a significant role in job fulfillment. Firstly, there are people whose working conditions are so unhealthy and/or stressful that they even cannot work until the retirement. A point in case is miners who work under the ground. They are constantly threatened by the collapse of the underground tunnels, or are exposed to the toxic chemicals released from the mineral stones. Even in such cases, a high salary would not assure job satisfaction for an employee. Secondly, those who live near their houses have to spend less time commuting from and to work, which means that they can spend more time with their family. These two factors would definitely have an impact on job satisfaction.
In conclusion, it is not really practical for all workers to be satisfied with their job. There are various aspects in this regard which determine whether it is possible for governments to satisfy all of the workers. The rate of unemployment, the amount of population, and the skills and qualifications of a worker are some of these factors.
Thanks in advance
