Ielts General Writing Task 1

*Topic:

You would like to buy some electrical goods at a shop in a nearby town.
Write a letter to the shop and ask if they have the things you want or whether they will be able to order them. Ask what the prices are and how long they will be able to hold the goods for you.

You should write at least 150 words.

*Answer:

Dear Sir/Madam,

I am writing because I would like to order two energy-saving electrical fans. I wonder if you had the appliances in stock. If not, would you be so kind as to order them for me? The company’s budget is a bit tight this month, so I hope that the costs are affordable. Also, could you please let me know if your store has any discount offers? In terms of delivery, the staffs in my company, including me, will go on a business trip from tomorrow until the end of this week. Could you please have the order delivered to us on next week’s Monday morning?
