The provided bar chart illustrates the total proportion of India, China, the USA and Japan’s population between 1950 and 2003 and the predicted figures in 2050.
It it obvious from the bar chart that the gradual decreases were witnessed in the population rate of three nations, apart from India. Moreover, India’s figure is predicted to increase and reach the peak by the year 2050.
In 1950, the percentage of China’s population was 23% which was the highest out of the listed countries. It was followed by India with 15% in total; whereas the figure for that in the two others was under 10%. Ater 52 years, there were minor downward trends by around 3% in the total population rate of China, the USA and Japan. However, Japan experienced the counter pattern whose figure increased to 16%.
Regarding the predicted propotions, the year 2050 is expectedly seen the upward trend of India’s population and peak at 16%. Despite having stood at the second position, the China’s percentage of world population is likely to fall down to 15%. Meanwhile, 5% and 2% are reported the predictably decreasing figures in the remaining countries.
