IELTS - essay - Pls help me to correct

Some people say that it is impossible for a country to be both economically sucessful and have a clean environment. Others disgree. Discuss both views and give your opinion.

People nowadays hold different views about whether a country could not only achieve the economic progress, but also maintain the environment purity or not. While there are some people suppose that it is impossible for a nation to acquire both simultaneously, I strongly support the contrast idea.

In the one hand, there is a couple of reasons why many countries are not capable of developing economies and protecting their biosphere from pollution concurrently. Firstly, the environmental deterioration is inevitable in many industrialized countries these days. The economic growth requires the tremendous rise in the number of industrial parks with manufacturing factories resulting in increase in the amount of gas emission into the environment. Secondly, the conduct of developing economies leads to urban sprawl which creates higher demand in road system installation and building construction causing widespread deforestation. Subsequently, the eco-system is adversely impacted.

On the other hand, I strongly believe that goverments in rich countries definitely could take necessary steps to preserve their environment. One of the most obvious solution for authorities is to allocate national budget for environmental projects by investing in construction of state-of-the-art industrial waste water and gas treatment systems or upgrading public transportation infrastructure to encourage citizens to use buses or subways in lieu of their private cars. By doing this, gas emission and exhausted fumes could be remarkably diminished. Another measure could be that the government should be advised to make environmental subjects in schools mandatory, which would be enable to raise students’ awareness of protecting water or forest resources. Forexample, Singapore,which is one of the economic superpowers in the world, is considered as green nation with the vast majority of its area covered with planted trees.

In conclusion, because of principal arguments mentioned above, I completely believe that every country could protect the environment besides developing economy.
