The world of work is rapidly changing and employees cannot depend on having the same work or the same work conditions for life.

Discuss the possible causes and suggest ways to prepare for people to work in the future

Recently the working habits have witnessed a dramatic change, and it has become difficult for many to rely on the same work for their whole life. While this is happening because of globalization and technological advancements, there are several ways to tackle this issue.

There are two main reasons why many employees cannot rely on the same working conditions for life. First, people can do businesses without any geographical differences and they copy the methods of others within no time. In other words, an invention in one country can easily be copied in other countries. This compel people to adapt to new methods or face fatal consequences. Another reason for people not to rely on the same working condition is that advancements in technology are increasing day by day. The menial jobs are being eradicated rapidly. In Mexico, thousands or call center agents, for example, were laid off in 2016 when automation took place due to robotic agents.

In order to cope with continual changes in working behaviors, there are two effective solutions. First, people should pursue higher education if they can afford it. This is the only way to learn the new business methodologies. Take Bangladesh as an example. Many accountants have lost their jobs in banks after the introduction of automatic accounting software. However, those who were ACCA, the professional qualification in accountancy, were not asked to resign. Second, people should always learn new technologies. This can be done if universities introduce similar subjects in syllabus. Many Australian colleges, for instance, have made the computer science subject compulsory for students.

In conclusion, people have to adopt changes as the working conditions are changing quickly. Obtaining higher education and learning technological developments are the two effective ways to tackle this.
