IELTS essay, can you help to correct

Face to face communication is better than other types of communication such as letters, email, or telephone calls. Do you agree or disagree?

The idea that communication in person outweighs the contemporary connection such as email, telephone calls or even letters has remained a source of controversy. In my opinion, I disagree with this idea as the email, telephone calls or letters has more benefits.

Firstly, email, letter or telephone calls provides means to connect people regardless geographic distance. As the matter of fact, these means of communication do not require all participants to be present at the same place. Telecommunication is a concrete evidence for this idea. With affordable devices, people from one corner of the word can instantly have a talk with their friends, relatives or colleagues at another. This is almost impractical with traditional face to face communication.

Secondly, email or letters gives participants the second chance to ponder their messages before sending them. It is obvious that direct conversation does not give people much time to think about what they want to say. This would have more severe impact if people put too much emotion or misleading information which can completely destroy the whole conversation. In contrast, communication via email or letters, writers have more time to polish their words in the way that it fully conveys their idea and the possibility of misleading message is minimized. Moreover, at any point of time prior to the email or letters sent out, writers can alter them without worrying about the implication this may have on the receivers as this chance is invisible to the receiver.

In summary, the email, letter or telephone calls have demonstrated them as the better method for long distance conversation or giving participants a second chance to consider their opinion, I do believe that they still be the better means for communication then face-to-face.
