IELTS academic task 2/ please review this essay

Topic: Some people think that parents should teach children how to be good member of society. Others, however, believe that school is place to learn this. Discuss both these views and give your opinion.

Children are the future of a nation. Thereby their education and rising them up to become a powerful individual in the community are important issue. Whether it is the parents responsibility or school it is matters of debate. This essay will discuss both views.

Parents are the first teacher. Children at younger ages spend almost all of their time with their parents. As consequences they have a major influence on their children's personality. At this age kids tend to mimic their parents actions and behaviour. For example, if they see their father treat strangers kindly and with respect they will do the same when facing a similler situation. Also, youngsters absorb conventions and codes of conduct frome their families, they establish a ground role for behaviour. Furthermore, they learnt the basic qualities like respect, empathy, honestly and how to deal with day to day matter.

On the other hand, school have a complementary role, it can provide an interactive environment where children can apply what they have learned at home. In addition, experties think that children can learn a considerable amount from their peers. Another important point, that most of pupils looking at their teachers as example. They obey their command and listen to their instructions. Thus teachers have an essential role not only in academic side but also in developing social skills and moral. Moreover, school can arrange social activities, for instance a campaign to clean an area of their city. This type of projects teach students how to be part of community in a good manners. Furthermore, it is greatly improve their skills and values.

To put it briefly, both views carry an equal strength and significance, and neither can be refuted outright. However, I am inclined to believe that parents have the most principle effect on how the children become an active leading ndividual in the society.
