IELTS ACADEMIC 15 WRITING TEST 1. Can you guys help me mark this essay :D

Topic: In some countries, owning a home rather than renting one is very important for people
Why might this be the case?
Do you think this is a positive or negative situation?

In some nations, people believe that possessing their own house is absolutely necessary than paying rent because it assists people in saving money wisely. From my point of view, this circumstance will pose a threat to its country's real estate market by skyrocketing the house prices in the near future.

On the one hand, the expenditure spent on paying off a monthly debt to own a house will be more worthwhile than renting accommodation. In terms of finance, that money saved can be used to pay a debt partially, if necessary, buy useful goods and chattels, or to maintain personal needs such as leisure activities and relationships. More importantly, take a purchase agreement as an example, the large amount of money occupied with a contract can not be changed in order to keep pace with inflation or currency devaluation. Thus, possessing a house not only helps save money but also makes home buyers feel more secure.

Though there are undoubtedly positives to this situation, I believe that the overall impact is negative because it results in the rising of house prices. In fact, the population exceeds the number of flats and houses available in many metropolises. This causes several problems. Firstly, a lack of accommodation means the house prices and rents remain very high. For example, the Nishinari district in southern Osaka, which holds the inglorious title of Japan's largest slum, is for those who can not afford 1000 yen ($9.32) to live. In addition, this somehow puts pressure on local authorities, who have to find food and shelter for the homeless. Thus, housing problems have an impact on everyone in the community.

In conclusion, I feel that the rising number of house ownership has led to financial comfort. If real estate prices could be controlled by the government, this would likely lead to better living conditions as well as increased national economic prosperity.
