Government funding for universities should only be provided to the best students as schoolarship and all other funding for universities should come from tuition fees and private organization. To what extent do you agree or disagree?

=>Financial supports from governments play a pivotal role in the educational quality improvement of universities . Some people argue that those supports from governments for universities should be prior to exellent students as schoolarship and other investments for universities should be supplied from tuition fees or the aid of particular organizations. I disagree with this view.

On the one hand , there are a number of reasons why some individuals state that governmet should only subsidize essential activities such as schoolarships for students, who gain great achievements at school and other fundings should come from other resourses. Firstly, governments ‘s money can not afford to cover all requirements that universities demand.This is because with a limitted national budget and the annual budget deficit situation can be seen in several countries, governments not only have to distribute the financial resourse to education , but also to various fields , such as economic proliferation, enviromental protection, healthy care, tranffic system, so on. Besides, some tertiary educations have make corrupt use of the subsidization from the state and become more and more dependent, which leads to some negative actions, such as abusing public property. In long-term period, this might create the budget deficit.

On the other hand, however, to many universities, the finacial support from government is very necessary to deal with a variety of difficulties beside schoolarships for their top students. First of all, not most of universities have enough learners , which means whether tuition fees from those few students can be affordable to restructure infrastructure as well as facilities. it is clear that if the universities are improved with up-to-date facilities, the quality of teaching and learning can be remarkably rosen. Moveover, de facto , the universitiy systems are built to mainly serve to educational purpose, not economic objectives,therefore, requiring the aids from private organization should be restricted. As mentioned above, if revieving financial supports too much, the universities can be dependent while those educational program should do is to prove their development ability and , which is really worthy to their students.

In summary, the subsidization of governments play a necessary role to talents in universities .However, the state should more subsidize to some poor universities to address to some remain issues as well as universities should careffully consider when utlizing their tuition fees and the aids from private organizations for other fundings. Only by doing so can universities maintain their sustainable development and contribute to society as well.
