On the one hand, some people advocate that university students have their own choices to study their favorite subjects. It is likely that learning whatever students have a particular liking motivates them to develop their full potentials and acquire good performances. For instance, students who are keen on foreign language prefer learning English to learning Math, it might be that they are better at English with high marks, actively participate English communities and more easily connect to worldwide friends. In my opinion, emphasizing on subjects as they desire results in their best outcome to particular fields rather than being forced.
On the other hand, others assume that students should be entitled to study necessary subjects in the long run namely scientific and technological-related fields. Admittedly, 4.0 technology and scientific discovery have widely spread in a series of aspects and considerably improved our lives to great extent. Specializing more in technological aspects such as computer skills, MS Office, prevailing applications probably facilitates English-faculty students to have a bigger opportunity in office and administrative jobs of some renowned enterprises. Personally, the majority of companies have a tendency to seek for the suitable candidates with their requirements instead of the excellent ones, thus, students should study the helpful subjects to meet the requirement in modern times.
