IELST writing task 1 - MAP

Question: Plan A below shows a health centre in 2005. Plan B shows the same place in the present day.

My essay:

The maps illustrate considerable changes in designs of the health center in 2005 and now. With these changes the center has been enlarged and its layout has changed considerably.

Since 2005, the car park has been widened with capacity from 12 to 30 spaces. Furthermore, the position of entrance has been moved to the left corner of the center. From the entrance, there was a hallway with seats arrange along to two sides and a reception desk at the end in plan A, but in plan B the reception desk is put near the entrance and the waiting area with seats is located in the center of the health center. In addition, an area for children to play is situated in the corner next to the entrance in plan B.

In terms of rooms, the positions of consulting rooms are changed to locate around the waiting area with one more room compared with these in plan A, while the office room and physiotherapy room are still remained. Another noticeable change is that a new minor operations room is built next to physiotherapy room.
