i.e vs e.g.

I am teaching classes at a community college, and I am telling students to name files they submit for homework in a specific way. Telling them that the file should be their full name followed by the name of the assignment.

So if John Doe were to turn in work on a project named drawing 3, the file name should be "John Doe drawing 3."

if I were to write that same clarification would it be correct to say ,i.e., John Doe drawing 3 or ,e.g., John Doe drawing 3?
I know that i.e. is for clarifications, and e.g. is for examples, but since this is stating a format, I'm not sure which category that would fall into.

Anonymousi.e vs e.g.
i.e. = that is
e.g. = for example

Your "John Doe" drawing is an example in my opinion, so I'd use e.g.
