Hi,
Do you guys know any reference for English idiom and expression that specifically focuses on their origin?
I would appreciate it if you could introduce it to me. I'd like to focus on common English idioms and expressions.

Most ("all") such sites contain a good deal of anecdote and surmise and downright fibs. Brewer's Phrase and Fable is no exception, but it is fun to look at, and there is a grain of truth in a lot of it.
