Hi, guys! I need Help! I got the task to collect some idioms with "as.. as..." - pattern, like "As fast as wind" and so on... If anybody knows where I can looking for, or if you know that kind of idioms, please tell me.

Ok, there is some first results of my google searching -)

1. 'As rare as hen's teeth' - Something that is rare as hen's teeth is very
rare or non-existent.

2. 'As cold as ice' - This idiom can be used to describe a
person who does not show any emotion.

3. 'As cold as stone' - If something is as
cold as stone, it is very cold. If a person is as cold as stone, they are
unemotional.

4. 'As cool as a cucumber' - If someone is as cool as a cucumber,
they don't get worried by anything.

5. 'As good as new' - If something has been used but is still in extremely good
condition, it is as good as new.

6. 'As mad as a hatter' - This simile means that someone is crazy or behaves
very strangely. In the past many people who made hats went insane because they
had a lot of contact with mercury.

7. 'As mad as a wrongly shot hog' - If someone is as mad as a wrongly shot hog,
they are very angry. (Same as, Angry as a bear or Angry as a bull).

8. 'As much use as a chocolate fire-guard' - A fire-guard is used in front of
a fireplace for safety. A chocolate fire-guard is of no use.

9. 'As much use as a chocolate teapot'. The similar to 8.

10. 'As much use as a handbrake on a canoe' - This idiom is used to describe
someone or something as worthless or pointless.

12. 'As clean as a hound's tooth'- very clean The classroom was as clean as
a hound's tooth when the students finished cleaning it.

13. 'As comfortable as an old shoe' - very comfortable, very familiar
I felt as comfortable as an old shoe when I entered my aunt's house.

14. 'As common as an old shoe' - low class, badly mannered
The young woman is as common as an old shoe

15. 'As crooked as a dog's hind leg' - dishonest
The politician is as crooked as a dog's hind leg and nobody trusts him.

16. 'As dull as dishwater' - very uninteresting
The speaker at the conference was as dull as dishwater.

17. 'As fit as a fiddle' - to be healthy and physically fit
My grandfather is ninety years old but he is as fit as a fiddle.

18. 'As good as one's word' - to be dependable if one promises something
My friend is as good as his word. You can always trust him.

19. 'As pale as a ghost' - extremely pale
My grandfather was as pale as a ghost when he entered the hospital.

21. 'As plain as the nose on one's face' - obvious
It is as the plain as the nose on our face who broke the computer.

My friend was as sick as a dog when he left the restaurant last night.

29. 'As the crow flies' - the shortest distance between two places
The farm is about ten miles northeast of town, as the crow flies.
