No, "sass" is what a child uses with a teacher or parent. Abusive profanity is not "sass."

Are you speaking to an educated person? To an illiterate member of a street gang?
To a friend? To a colleague in an office? To a fellow prisoner in jail? To the Queen of England?

To somebody who seems to be educated but overuses curses.

Hi

From a brief look at the web, it seems to be short for "smartass"

So I agree with GG - it's not used with outright abuse. It seems to mean "Don't try to make out that you're cleverer than me"

The phrase I've used with people who curse a lot is "Do you kiss your mother with that mouth?" (The implication is that they have a dirty mouth.)

Abusive profanity is not "impudent" - it's vile and abusive.

I know this expression from a movie... and... actually the guy was being abused verbally and in a moment he snaps back and says easy on the sass dude

Can you please make a short dialogue for me where someone could use this expression?

A child who is teasing his mother may be told to "knock off the sass."
