Idiom scrambler

What a great site! Hope someone here can help me....
I was wondering if there was a technical name for someone who regularly messes up their idioms. I'm speaking of myself, of course.
For instance, instead of saying "under the table" I'll say - "under the counter". Or instead of 2 wrongs don't make a right, I say 2 rights don't make a wrong. Am I being clear as sludge? I mean, mud.
Often we find characters in books that also do this sort of thing. What's it called?
Thanks!

Do you do that on purpose, or is it just slip of the tongue? And is it limited to idioms, or does it happen elsewhere in regular sentences? Anyway, I do not think that the person who does this scrambling, deliberately or accidentally, have a particular name; not as far as I know.

No, I don't do it on purpose - I sound like an idiot! It is just a slip of the tongue. No, it doesn't happen elsewhere in regular sentences - only with idioms.

This is so interesting. though it bothers you! I don't know what to say. Perhaps you can do a research on it. And you do not sound like an idiot, everyone makes some silly mistakes when they talk!
