Idiom -- "I have been in your shoes"

I would like to know the usage of "I have been in your shoes ". I did a google search, but couldn't find anything useful.

It means "Sometime in the past, I have experienced whatever it is you are experiencing right now."

That's correct, it means you can understand someone's perspective. If someone is going through a divorce, and you've already been through one, you could say, "yes, I've been in your shoes before." Meaning that you understand what it's like for them.

That may mean person B (told to A) also have been experienced the same thing as person A.
