Hey there,
I was listening to a TED Talk, and heard the following sentence: "I've just fished the email out of the spam folder".
Does that mean, because you've forgotten to read someone's email, but you don't want to show that you were negligent about it?!
In this case, I think the word "fished" isn't correct, but it's "phished".
Or that you haven't really received the email in your inbox, and it's true that it went to the spam folder, and perhaps it's been deleted somehow!??
Could anyone please clarify which one is the correct meaning of that sentence??
