It simply means try it to see what it's like in BrE:

There is an English phrase "suck it up" which means to stop complaining and just get on with some unpleasant task. I imagine "suck it," generally delivered as an insult to someone who has lost a competition of some kind, might be derived from the slightly longer usage.
