Identifying the subject

Start getting comfortable with asking a question, waiting for response, listening to the response and then waiting some more.
I read at
How to Be Amazingly Good at Asking Questions
What is the subject in those sentences? Is it just one long sentence separated by commas? I am learning to analyse a sentence in terms of parts of speech.
