Identifying Objects and Complements in Sentences

Bear with me, since I'm going to sound like a total idiot. I'm just getting back into school after 11 years (secondary education) and I'm taking a basic English course as part of my certificate requirements. I'm working on my homework for the class right now and I'm getting REALLY confused over identifying objects and complements in sentences. Yes, this is what being out of school for too long does to you, hehe.

The requirements for this particular exercise calls for underlining "a direct object once and an indirect object twice... Circle the predicate nouns or predicate adjectives (complements)." I'm stumped on how to find the IO and locating the PNs or PAs. I can find the direct objects easily enough but it's everything else that I need help with. I'll put down the sentences from my school book and put what I identified as the DO. Any help to make this as easy to understand as possible is most graciously appreciated. Thanks for those who can help!

1. Our nine-member team sold products with a value of $6.2 million. (DO = products)
2. Marketing Strategies, Inc., hired me. (DO = me)
3. After reviewing our database entries, we found outdated addresses. (DO = addresses)
4. Johnson Printing sends customers monthly satisfaction surveys. (DO = customers)
5. First-rate customer service is a prerequisite for any company's success. (DO = prerequisite) (I wasn't sure about this one).

I am aware that PNs and PAs need linking verbs to exist, and the only sentence that has one is #5. Again, I need help learning how to identify the indirect objects (if there are any in these sentences) along with the object complements (PNs and PAs).

Thanks again!

OP here -

Thank you so very much for explaining that. My school book is rather vague in their descriptions of what objects and complements are.

I think my problem here was that I was over-thinking everything and driving myself nuts in the process.

Thanks again!
