Identify with...?

Dear Teachers,

If I’d like to express that I cannot ’’identify with the ideology and way of life’’ of a religion or system of thought, what verb or expression I could use?

I’m looking for something which means exactly ’’identify with’’ but I’m not sure I could use this very phrase in this context; (and in addition, I should then say identify myself with I believe...); could you help me, please? Thank you very much!
