Hello QH,

"Identify the mistakes and correct it" is an imperative form. It sounds like you're ordering or commanding us (the members) to do that for you. It may may sound 'impolite" or "rude" to some people If you ask them to do something for you that way. So, I suggest you that you should change, or use words like please or kindly, that to a question form for ex Please help me identify and correct the mistakes in the following sentences or Could you (or someone) please help me identify and correct the mistakes in the following sentences? This way, you're likely to receive even more replies from different members.

(And please don't take what I've said above the wrong way. I just wanted to let you know that that way of asking, esp. in a Forum, for somebody's help is not considered appropriate.) ..

Also, I agree with tam's corrections, but I'd prefer a 'has', after 'dad' in your last sentence. I'd say "We have the same idea as your dad has in the discussion", though it's not wrong without 'has'.
By the way, is there any particular reason for your capitalizing the first letter of 'dad' in your last sentence?

Sorry to Laborious and others but don't get me wrong, I just meant to repeat the requirement of the exercise. I'm just a new member so I don't understand much about the way of asking. Okay I will change in the next time. Thank you
