Hi, i learn english on my own and i don't have a teacher.Your site is as my teacher.

Honestly, this is an exam model,and i've done them before ,but in key answers i found answers which don't seem right to me.I'd like you as a valid source to help me.

1.key answer: industry

my answer: In my opinion this sentence is right .There's no mistake.

2.Key answer:compared with

My answer:seem

Coz there's no subject agreement ,.expressions statting one amount of time

,money,weight,volume,etc.,are plural in form but take singular verb. "Three weeks seems."

3.Key answer: and leafs.

My answer:and leafs .

It was a wise guess.May be it must have been with article" the", but in my opinion" and" between these words means they are the same so we can eliminate the second" the".

Fair enough, Rashin. In future, though, please make your own effort first as an example to other students who might otherwise think it's OK to ask us to do their homework.

Always capitalise I and English, and leave a space after punctuation.

1. 'industry' should be 'industries'.

2. The key suggests that they are looking for 'compared to', but there's not much wrong with 'compared with'.

'...three weeks seem' is correct.

3. 'leafs' should be 'leaves'.

I found this rule in a grammar book. Doesn't the underlined sentence follow this rule?

I think this is one amount of time.

"Three weeks seems."

I think this is one amount of time so it should take singular verb.

In the first sentece, “industry” must be replaced by “industries” because we have “one of” there.
