Ideas for Writing Task 2

Please help me with a sample introduction and suggest some ideas and examples. Thank you! (I might have some small questions throughout this outline)

--------------------------------------

Unhealthy eating has a negative effect on both individuals and the society in which
they live. Some people think that the government should tax unhealthy foods while
others believe that a ‘fat tax’ is unfair and unnecessary.
Discuss both these views and give your own opinion.

Introduction: As unhealthy foods has an adverse impact on people and their society, there has been different opinions about whether the government needs to impose taxes on unhealthy food products. Some believe the government should tax these foods while others argued that imposing such taxes is unjust (I am not sure if this sentence is redundant or not). From my perspective, junk foods taxes are totally reasonable and the government is right to impose them.

Body 1:
Topic Sentence: On the one hand, introducing taxes on junk foods can have some drawbacks.
Support:
First, these kind of foods have considerable commercial benefits since they are produced by large companies and are favoured by a majority of people. Therefore, imposing taxes will greatly affect these companies in particular and the economy in general.
Second, because of the popularity of these foods, taxing (I don't know if this word is right, the dictionary said that it means difficult or needing a lot of thought or effort) them can pose many controversies and there might be protests against this new law.
Example: (Using companies like McDonald or KFC as an example is ok i guest?)

Body 2:
Topic Sentence: On the other hand, it is necessary for the government to tax unhealthy foods.
Support:
The most important reason is that these foods can lead to a lot of severe health problems such as obesity, diabetes, cancers. Imposing taxes will discourage people from consuming them, thus improve public health and reduce the amount of healthcare expenses.
Moreover, these low-quality foods bring will decrease the productivity of people, especially those who are working. Therefore, it will slow down the country's development.

Conclusion: To conclude, while introducing taxes on unhealthy foods have certain disadvantages, I agree with the idea that government ought to impose such taxes to limit the consumption of these foods for the sake of people's health.
