Idea about sth

Hello,

Could you please help me with the sentence below ?

I’ve got some ideas/ an idea (about/on) who we should invite to make the party special.

Does the word 'idea' in this context need a preposition?

I think it is not necessary but I am not sure.

Thank you for your help!

Thank you!

Could we use 'about' as well here?

I've got some ideas about who we should invite to make the party special.

Kind regards.

Hi,

By saying ideas you're actually describing your plans. If you intend to convey this meaning idiomatically,

you should stick with of.
