I'd say this cake is a bit custom-baked.

Could you please tell me if this dialogue reads naturally? Any suggestions please?

A - The cake looks a bit too plain.

B- Yes, and my apologies that it's a bit custom-baked. I mean, my wife prepared it specially for me, keeping the sugar and calorie levels very low. I'm sure it's too bland for you.

I suppose it's OK. But we usually say home-cooked or home-made . Not custom-baked.
