I'd rather you [came next weekend.]

1. I'd rather you came next weekend.

I'd like to know when I use the structure "I'd rather (that)~" if conditional 2 expresses the hope for the future as in "I wish you would send me a copy of the document."

We use the structure I'd rather you when we want someone else to do something, when we prefer one thing over another for someone. But we use 2nd conditional when we talk about fictitious present situation. e.g. If I had money, I would give you which means the person saying this statement doesn't have money at present.
