I'd rather use but rather than rather!

Hey pals,

Have a look at this sentence:

* The conditions of art are nothing rather a particular way of interpreting reality.

Do you think that we should substitute rather with a "but"?

or do you think that there's no problem with this sentence?

Dear Netsooz You are right to doubt this sentence: your suggestion - to use "but" - is correct I'm not sure about "conditions" though. Can I suggest.. Works of art are nothing but a paricular way of interpreting reality Best regards, Dave
