I'd like to know the mean of 'accounting' in the line.

That script is a line of News. I can't exactly the mean of 'accounting' . Please show me.

fungal infection, that would be number one accounting for over half of the nail problems or nail disorders that we see.

Accounting for = responsible for or causing.

As I saw your answer, I think you mean the word class of "accounting" in the line is used adjective, right?

The reason I ask that way is I think the word class of it as a noun that means "comprisal " . Am I wrong?

I would say it is a verb. The sentence could be rephrased as Fungal infections account for over half of the nail problems that we see.
