Maybe I'm being slow but I can't make any sense of this. If the suggested interpretation is correct then he seems to be first saying that it's unreasonable/unworkable for her to have a "normal" boyfriend because she's a star now, and then immediately contradicting himself by saying he would/could be normal and then everything would work out fine for them.
