Ice-eliminating Device

Ice-eliminating device(IED) is installed in an indoor heat-pump-mode air conditioner, and is used to temporarily delay heating motion and change to ice-eliminating motion. When an air conditioner is in its heating motion, atmosphere temperature is dropped to under the fixed level of heating motion, and causes ice appears outside of heat exchanger, while the IED begins to work.

I've found the terminology "defroster" refers to "Ice-eliminating Device".

Regarding "atmosphere temperature" or "the ambient temperature", it actually refers to "outdoor ambient temperature" which is not affected by an air conditioner. That is, the original article might have not expressed it exactly or correctly. The best heating effect of a
