Ice cream

I posted a question earlier and found out "ice cream" is uncountable.

So instead of saying "I am eating an ice cream.", I should say "I am eating ice cream."

Is the article required?

Thanks a lot for helping me Emotion: smile

The article is not used unless you are using the short form of 'an ice cream (cone/bar/sandwich)' or 'a (serving of) ice cream'. e ice cream, not chocolate), then no article.
