Ice-breaker

If I want to convey that, I want to be the first person to talk, how would I say that?

1) Let me be the ice-breaker
2) Let me be the first one to break the ice

OR
<Some other way?>

I vote for #2. In conversation, you would probably just say Let me be the first to break the ice. Or: I'll be the first to break the ice.
