Iambic pentameter: can it be funny???

In my english class we're studying poems. Everyone is in groups and each group has a specific type of poem. My group's poem type is Iambic Pentameter. I've look at alot of different sites looking for an example of a funny pentameter, but I've come up short. Are Iambic Pemtameters aloud to be funny, or are they strictly serious?

Anonymous Are Iambic Pemtameters aloud to be funny, or are they strictly serious? They certainly don't have what you'd call a gay-hearted rhythm - as a Limerick does, for example. Nor does it have a rollicking action rhythm, like: The Assyrian came down like a wolf on the fold, And his cohorts were gleaming in purple and gold; He was chubby and plump, a right jolly old elf, And I laughed when I saw him in spite of myself.
