I would/I wanted

Hi teachers, is there any difference between the two sentences? Which one is more natural?

1) That's why I thought I would let you know that I work as a lawvyer.

2) That's why I thought I wanted to let you know that I work as a lawyer.

Also, if I wanted to insert one "just" into either of the sentences where would be more natural?

1) That's why I (just) thought I would (just) let you know that I work as a lawvyer.

2) That's why I (just) thought I (just) wanted to let you know that I work as a lawvyer.
