Thanks, I see this structure many time, but I just want to check it.
Thanks again.

Hi,

It is grammatically correct, but in most cases we usually say "I would like to" instead (if it is appropriate)

as it is politer and more idiomatic. I would like to go to the cinema is much better than I would want to go to the

cinema. Generally speaking, the structure I would want to + verb is hardly ever used.

Hi,
youzouThanks RegardsGenerally speaking, the structure I would want to + verb is hardly ever used.Is it old or it is just childish speaking? Or even odd? Or selfish? Or generally impolite?
I don't know. It's just less used.

*Note that I'm speaking of cases where both would want to and would like to could be used.
