What's the difference between these 2 sentences.

A: I would recommend you take one new subject every year.

I feel "would" works, in addition to adding a degree of politeness, to mean "if some particular conditions are achieved, I would accept your offer. What do you think?

"I would accept your offer" does sound like there are conditions attached. "I would gratefully accept your offer if I truly believed it would not cause you too much inconvience.
